Cradled in the foothills of the Hottentot Mountains with views across False Bay to the Cape of Good Hope, lies Journey’s End - the Gabb Family Winery/ Here lies a winelands paradise blessed with great views, a great climate and an abundance of indigenous bird and plant life.
Named after the Reverend Johnny Clink, our local pastor who regularly delivers Sunday communion at the bottom of the vineyards in te shade of the pine trees. At Journey’s End we are Fairtrade certified, working closely with Rev. Clink and the community at large to help improve living standards and education for those living in poverty/
Having been picked early in the morning and carefully selected, the individual parcels were placed in a cold room for 72 hours prior to being fermented separately. Each cultivar then enjoyed a 14 month maturation in 3rd and 4th fill 300l French oak barrels. Blended as one the wine displays rich aromas of cherries and blackcurrant, which follow through to the palate, with soft elegant tannins.
