Weingut Spiess Syrah >>R<< trocken 2019

Sale Price: HK$378.00 Original Price: HK$398.00

The classic from the Rhone produces peppery and herbal wines that need a certain age in the bottle to fully develop. Syrah is considered one of the most valuable red wine grape varieties in the world and became world-famous, especially under the synonym Shiraz from Australia. The always dark and strong Syrah is previously expanded 18 to 24 months mainly in new oak barrels. Our Rheinhessen version is inspired by the less jammy and 'cooler' version from the Rhone.

Subtle, spicy nose of white pepper and fine red fruit. Subtly smoky & herbaceous aromas with a firm, taut core and structured acidity. Rich in extracts and powerful in the body, but by no means clumsy or sluggish. Long finish.

Maximilian Wilm, best sommelier in Germany 2019:
,,Pretty much the best thing I've tasted in terms of Syrah from Germany so far!''
