The 30 hectares of Coudoulet are situated just east of the Beaucastel vineyard, across the A7 motorway. For clear reasons, Coudoulet is frequently referred to as the "baby Beaucastel." The soil at Coudoulet shares many similarities with that of Beaucastel, consisting of Molasse seabed layered with diluvial alpine deposits. The pebbles known as “Galets Roulés” are particularly significant, as they absorb heat during the day and release it slowly at night, providing an excellent start for the vines in the spring.
